2011 Tennis Tournament
Oakridge Tennis Championship 2011
September 12-18, 2011
315 90 Ave SE
2011 Tournament Details:
This is a well organized co-ed tournament for 3.0-4.5 players best known for its prizes and strong support from local businesses. More than $3500 worth of prizes have been given out in the tournament’s five year history. Every player (and every volunteer) who participates wins a prize. Prizes are awarded by lottery, so the worst player can win the grand prize. Even volunteers can win the grand prize. Fans can enter to win the Fan’s Door Prize.
The tournament champion’s name is engraved on duplicate trophies which are displayed at the Oakridge Community Centre and the Oakridge Boston Pizza.
Weather permitting, every player plays at least three matches. Everybody plays on the final day of the tournament. Every player and volunteer present at both the final match and the wind-up party will win a prize.
2011 Tournament Sponsors
At the end of the tournament, all players and volunteers are included in the prize draw that is supported by local businesses. Here is a list of businesses who have already committed to sponsoring the 2011 tournament.
