Tennis Lessons Kids Under 10

Tennis Lessons Kids programs use the progressive method for teaching tennis. Progressive tennis is a modern approach to teaching tennis that starts children with child-sized racquets, balls, courts and nets. Originally developed in Europe, progressive tennis is now accepted by Tennis Canada as the best way to introduce tennis to children under 10.

Under 10 Tennis gives them an opportunity to develop the coordination and movement required for tennis without subjecting them to the frustrations of trying to play on an adult-sized court.

The Oakridge Community Centre has included lines for up to 20 progressive tennis courts and can handle everything from private lessons and small groups to combined phys. ed. classes of up to 80 children simultaneously.

Our most popular tennis programs are:

-> Pre-Tennis Lessons – Ages 5-7
-> Tennis Lessons Kids (Learn to Rally) – Ages 8-10

All tennis leagues and lessons are administered for the Oakridge Community Centre by Racquet Network. Please visit the Racquet Network Pro Shop for more information about lessons, prices and registration in Calgary.
